Several months ago i needed to get an attorney to file for divorce. I put out a real chunk of change for the retainer. As the proceedings progressed i got my first statement of the bill, it was a ridiculous amount of money and nothing has even changed in my case. I called to make a payment arrangement and got that set up, two days later the head honcho calls say,'Oh we cannot finance such a large balance like that we need it all.' I was floored and I had panicked what was i to do I have a 3yr old daughter I am fighting for. Well I sent a small payment. One month later I got dropped like a hot potato. Now I am out a ton of money, not divorced or any change in custody of my daughter, and I had to hire another attorney. And come to find out my ex-attorney told me her boss the head honcho had her drop 7 other clients in the last month. Hmmm sounds to me that all he cares about in taking people for everything they got and no matter what the cost or who it can hurt like my 3yr old daughter.
