We talk about kids and marriage a lot, we've been together 2 and a half years and I know he's the one, and I really want him to propose to me, I don't know how I can drop anymore hints, we've even discussed the ceremony, outfits, and venue etc and that but he just won't ask me, any new ideas?

It really isn't like that, he's clingyer than me, he told me a long time ago he was going to purpose but didn't because I said I'd say no, but we hadn't been seeing eachother long then, only about a year and I think it may have stopped him wanting to ask for the fear I'll say no

bottom line talking about it is different from putting a ring on your finger...he hasn't. that speaks for itself. a lot of guys use talking about marriage and pre-planning wedding details as a stall tactic. seriously, it's clear he is not ready. leave it alone.

Because I know he'll ask when he's ready and can afford an expensive ring coz he thinks it's what I deserve, but I'd rather have no ring and know he's serious
