I Want Her Dead

I've been in the same friend group, school, classes, and teams as his one particular girl. She is infuriating and narcissistic and obnoxious and, overall, has a hideous personality. She is engulfed in this false view that she is a perfect child with amazing grade and flawless skills on the soccer field. I, however, think she is a conniving, low life, self centered, ugly, snot nosed, stubby legged BITCH. She always, ALWAYS, tries to one up me on every single thing I do. These past years I have had this thought. A thought I resent day after day. A thought I cannot get out of my mind. And that thought is, I want her dead. I want her to leave my life and everyone's life around me. I do not have the gut to kill anyone. I will never kill, ever. Ever. But I must confess, I have this nagging urge and dream that one day she dies, and I will no longer have to deal with her.

Our local independent broostoke ordered this for us. We got it on Thursday, I finished yesterday, husband is finishing today.This is one awesome book. I missed Ben, Rose, and the whole family. So good to see everybody is still surviving, still thriving.The character of New Orleans in this book is so rich, so perfectly structured. The physical layout, the smells, the sights, the attitudes of the people are so well drawn, I could go there and fit right in.The plot is dynamite the this book only people are really interesting and full dimensional (including the victim). I really like that people from earlier books haven't disappeared, but become part of M. Janvier's life, like they would in real life.If you have missed these wonderful people, be sure to read this as soon as possible

One time I wrote in my journal that I wished this girl I hated "would get shot in the head and die." A short time later, and at the end of my road, that girl was shot in the head, stuffed in a trunk and died. That was nearly 20 years ago and I still wish I had never had those thoughts. I know (in my mind) that I didn't have anything to do with it, but I can't help but feel like those negative thoughts were some influence. IDK, food for thought, keep on hating the girl if you feel like it, but you don't want to hurt yourself.
