while i believe 50 shades of grey is a excellent read and one of my personal favorites it is highly fictional it doesn't exactly depict the bdsm world the way it really is it has some great scenes in there and it is a excellent love story but you need knowledge to what this is really about not a sappy love story i recommend you read master,mentor,trainer,protector this book does an excellent job at explaining the different bdsm foundations
