I Thought It Was An Emergency.

My mother always said I could go and ask my neighbors for help if there was an emergency and she wasn't there. I thought it was an emergency.I really did, but I got grounded. The breaker box went completely out at my house this morning around 8. I tried to reset it many times, but I couldn't. I didn't have any way of contacting my mother because there was no electricity. I waited awhile in hopes it would come back on,It didn't The no electricity thing was fine I had chores to do, but they could wait I guess. Although about seven hours later I realized the inside of the refrigerator was near room temperature and my snake had gone too long with out the heating lamp. After much debating I finally went over to my neighbors and asked if I could barrow their phone because my breaker box was out. My neighbors husband insisted that he come in and look at the box. I told him he really didn't have to, but as I said he really insisted. My neighbor looked at my box and told me that there was nothing wrong with it, besides the fact that it wasn't up to code.( He's an electrician )He said I could barrow their phone so I could contact my mother so she could get a hold of the people who provide us with electricity. I did get a hold of my mother and when she came home she said that I shouldn't have bothered the neighbors. That this wasn't an emergency and it could've waited until she got home.She 'explained' to me that I'm not supposed to go and bother the neighbors unless I were badly hurt, dying or there's a murderer in the house. I seriously felt that this was an emergency, not a knife wielding murderer emergency of course.But after my mother 'explained' things to me I just feel really guilty for bothering my neighbors. They probably had better things to do. God ,they probably think I weird now.

Your snake went 7 hours without heat not cool you should buy an emergency battery operated light they are a little pricey anyway you are normal your mom is just a ridiculous dictator
