I think my mother is dying

She's elderly. She's diabetic. She's getting dialysis. She's losing her appetite and whatever vigor she's had left. I think it is going to happen soon. I could be wrong, but I'd be more surprised. I'm only an ok daughter. I dread this.

Death is an inevitable fact of life. No one is immune to it. Some people just go before others do. Make the most of the time you have left with her, make her comfortable and say all the things you need her to hear before she leaves this world. Be there for her.
