A nice couple hired me to paint the outside of their cottage. They had just remodeled all of the inside of it. On the first day there I had to take a dump and went into the brush because no one was there and I was seven or eight miles from any gas station or other place that had a public toilet. On the second day the wife showed up with her little dog. I was painting away as she had the windows opened and I could talk to her about the news she had on the TV. Then our conversation died out and I was still listening to the news. Suddenly I heard her screaming "GOD DAMN IT" over and over and when I asked her what was wrong, she told me that her little dog had rolled in some shit and then rolled all over her new carpet. I felt bad, but didn't offer to clean the shit from her carpet. I should have. I let her do it.
