I or WE?

Whenever my boyfriend talks to his work collegues, friends or family on the phone he always uses the singular phrase 'I' not 'We'. For instance, he will say 'I'm' watching the news not 'we're' watching the news. Or 'I've bought a new couch not 'we'. I'm SICK of this 'I' business. Snap out of it buster or 'WE' will be over! Got it?
