I made her cry

I put this under family because it involves my friends family. He has a lovely young daughter who just turned 11. She is always happy and full of energy. She also has always crawled all over everyone and given them hugs and kisses whether they want it or not. Her mom and I just had to have a talk with her about behaving more like a lady and not a child. It made her cry. She thought we were telling her that we didn't love her anymore and didn't want to touch her at all. We both calmed her down eventually but she doesn't quite understand yet that now she is starting to develop and her behaviour could get her into trouble. We just put her to bed after letting her cuddle with us on the sofa. It broke my heart having to have the talk with her and making her suddenly grow up, but it had to be done.

I feel the pain, but good job on doing what you thought was right.
