Im 24 now, but when I was about 8 my mom bought a lovebird, its a small green bird with orangish cheeks and sings (really pretty actually). Anyway she got this bird and in my family Im the youngest of 3 sons, so I was the baby and treated like it as a child, spoiled and so when my mom got this bird she loved it soooo much she always had it out playing with it, talking to it and I became very jealous of this stupid thing it was taking all of her attention from me. One day my mom was gone helping a neighbor clean her house so she was gone for hours and i realized i was the only one home, my dad and brothers were gone. So I remember staring at the bird in it's cage for a while and then i pulled it and was just playing with it, honestly did not plan on doing anything to it but the longer i had it in my hands, this rage was slowly building inside me and before i knew it I ended up putting the bird in a drinking glass, filled it with water put a plate on top and flipped it over and then left the room (i didn't have it in me to watch) before long it obviously drowned, so then I pulled it out dried it of with a blow dryer instead of a towel just to really make sure you couldn't tell it was wet at all, and simply placed it on its back in the cage, then I whipped up some tears and ran down the street to tell my mom, make it look more like an accident by not having her find it herself without anyone saying anything. And I ended up telling her this elaborate story about it breaking its neck whilst flying…….. The worst part is to this day she still doesn't know the true story, she believed the fake one. I know this sounds totally sick, thats because it is, Im not justifying what I did simply getting it off my chest. I feel so awful about it, and Im too scared to tell her the truth about it, I don't want her to know I ever did anything like that
