I killed my cat

It was an honest Mistake; and if you Knew me in person, you would Know this to be not of my nature to any degree. I was recently introduced to the world of guns, So much so I bought my own rifle, a small caliber .22; I started setting up a few targets in a really hilly area; the target I missed had been an old wooden school desk with a metal frame, perhaps from the 70's. I instead hit a small piece of plywood, then I saw it.. A cat collapse about and inch out from behind the wood. I run over and the poor kitty is twitching; All i knew.. it was suffering. So I finished him off with two shots to the head. I can't stop thinking about this.. I have been balling for hours; and I feel like a monster. I don't know what to do!? I can't stop thinking about him.. looking up at me begging for help I could not give. I don't know what to do. How can I make myself understand It was not intentional.

accidents happen everyday people have done terrible things every single day even worse then your situation man u just got to forgive yourself accidents happen and since u feel bad you know your not a bad person if u didnt feel guilt you'd be a monster it happened and u cant go back u jus gotta for forward man thats all

When the wolf kills do you question its nature, when bear destroys a bees hive does anyone but the bee mourn it. Be calm with yourself be at peace the animal had died of pain if you hadn't done what you did it has happened be calm and more proud of yourself for taking the responsibility of the dieing animal and ending it's pain
