I have no idea how to socially interact

I am a sophomore in high school. I have one or two good friends but I honestly have no other friends. I feel like people don't want to talk to me. I can never have a real conversation with people at all. Last year consisted of maybe 10 or so times I actually went out. I have ruled out any dating because I feel unattractive and repulsive to everyone. I have only had one girlfriend which was fake because the girl lost a bet. People say I am likable and funny and smart but I have zero self esteem. I guess I push people away because I'm afraid of rejection. It always feels that way at least.

Having fear of rejection can make you afraid in life.
