My Father would kill me i f he ever found how I feel about Lucas one of the clerks at my Father's hardware store. He's a handsome sweet and kind young man and I can't stop thinking about him. My Father says he don't care for Lucas or his kind much, but I think he a good decent person. He's working his way through college and is working towards a engineering degree. He works harder than any of the other clerks that work for my Dad but my Father is not a fan of race mixing as he calls it. My Mother died a few years ago so it's just me and my Dad. I really like Lucas and think he would make a great boyfriend but as the only Daughter I would hate to lose my Father and cause trouble for Lucas because he needs this job. My older Brother Jon is married to a black woman and my Father and him don't speak. I wish my Dad wasn't stuck in his ways, but what can I do? I can tell Lucas likes me too by the way he looks at me, but he's also smart. I'm the boss'es Daughter and my Dad can be pretty hard on him for the smallest things even though he's the hardest worker in the store. What should I do? I want to be with Lucas.
