I don't feel sufficient
Posted Dec 21, 2012 by anonymous | 257 views | 4 comments
I just graduated college this past weekend and I don't feel prepared at all. I don't feel ready for the real world and I don't think I did enough in my own education. I want to go back to my freshman year of college and redo the whole thing. I never live with regrets but I truly wish I could go back and do it all over again. I don't want to grow up, I don't want to leave this place, I want more. I am not sufficient.

Welcome to the club. I enjoyed university myself (as much as I hated high school). That was years ago and I still don't feel ready for the real world. If you're lucky, you've learned how to learn while in university. This you can take with you and apply to the real world. Don't ever stop learning. And if you do get a higher degree, never think you've learned enough. I've had to deal with a lot of PhDs in my time and they're almost all cement-heads thinking the one thing they've learned well somehow magically applies to everything else in life. It doesn't.
