I do not understand women who carry an Anencephaly baby to full term...

I do not mean to be cruel, I am a woman myself, but It actually sort of frustrates me to find out another selfish woman decided to carry a baby with this severe and fatal birth defect to full term just to give birth to a sack of organs missing the one organ that makes us "human" and allows us to feel. They rarely live more than hours, sometimes a couple days. And they NEVER FEEL. They typically have a brain stem which is why they have beating hearts, but they won't even feel pain, nevermind love in their very short "life". Honestly, I don't even see it fit to name these babies, they will never be a person just because mommy and daddy want them to be. Why put yourself through it? Just acknowledge that this pregnancy failed and it's time to end it and move on to trying again, and make sure you intake plenty of folic acid... What are other peoples thoughts? By the way only 5% of woman who's fetus is diagnosed with Anencephaly decide against abortion.

Actually, tests & studies have recently shown that babies born with Anencephaly DO in fact feel pain, it has been compared to the pain that someone with a severe Crohns Disease flare-up experiences
