I confess that I have been one of the people -- one of those who have not listened to your confessions over the years. I am heartily sorry for this and sincerely repent of this -- I never heard you. I never listened. Why didn't I listen? What got in my ears that day? I confess that I have not heard or listened or noticed (on that particular day, and many other days like it). Please forgive me, those of you whose confessions I refused to hear.
