My daughter opened a business account with HSBC approx nine months ago. Since day one, they have seemed hell bent on making life difficult for her, and have been absolutely no use whatsoever. Now, their tactics are to ring her at seven, eight and even later than nine o'clock at night, (from some far flung country), to discuss trivial matters. This, despite me telling them more than once to cease this practice and put notes on her file to that effect. This morning, (Saturday 21st Oct 2006), at 8.15 in the morning, (my ONLY day off work),I was awakened by the phone. GUESS WHO IT WAS !!!. My advice to anyone thinking of opening a bank account is, DON'T ENTERTAIN HSBC. They obviously don't want to employ British people in their call centres, they are of no help wahtsoever when starting a business, you struggle to understand their call centre people's accent and the 'stalk' you via the phone at unsociable hours. My message is 'BANK BRITISH'.
