HP Printers

I bought an HP Scanner/Printer/Copier when I bought my Apple computer. The printer has not worked properly since I bought it. When I went to HP consumer complaints, I discovered that they knew that the printers with certain serial numbers were having troubles that required a special cleaning kit, but only copiers on warranty could receive this kit. I had no warranty! ( I was never offered one by Apple) I think Apple knew about the printers and had made a deal with HP.I will never buy another HP product and I'm going to reconsider my twenty year relationship with Apple.
