This last summer we stayed at Howard Johnson in Pigeon Forge, Tn. We checked in with res made on credit card but paid cash, for the dates June 6-8. 1st room stunk and tolet overflowed 1st night and were moved to another room. We informed front desk we would be leaving Thrus. june 8 one day early and asked about the refund as we had paid cash. we were told no problem as long as register had enough cash in morning. Thursday we load up and get ready to leave , stop by the service desk and attendaunt said there was a problem, and wife said 'not enough money?' the lady said no it took a manager to do it. Remeber it was the manager told us as long as there was cash no problem. Anyway we left thinking wed be sent a check with a couple of weeks. WRONG! After 3 weeks i called back and talked to a young lady who was very nice and promised to get the refund check out promptly. No check! I then called corporate office and made a complaint. They wre to check on it , that was a month ago and still no check. All this mess plus having to spend money for phone calls, for 50.00 dollars refund!
