Household bank's excessive charges

I opened an Household Bank budget account and bought a widescreen tv for £1500. After being made redundant, I asked Household Bank to stop interest on the account and instead they are charging me £60 per month 'default' costs I now owe £2800 and don't think they are being reasonable. How can I get them to drop these charges ??
