Hotels.com booked a double bed suite with a separate sofabed for me. As I was just about to arrive at the hotel [1,ooo miles from home] I called to confirm the booking and was told they had a single king-sized bed for my party[3 adults and 1 child]! The hotel desk clerk told me that's all they had, so I called hotel.com who told me 'sorry' and they couldn't help. The hotel manager and their headquarters finally helped and I wound up with my room with the 2 beds. I had to insist on help and camp out in the lobby. Hotel.com also finally said they would try to help {after I insisted} but by that time the manager of the hotel had come to my rescue. I will never use them again, and would urge anyone considering them to stay away also. Just as a post-script the hotel chain said that this was not their first problem with mis-booking by hotel.com or expedia. Call the hotel yourself and book!!!
