If you EVER have to go to a hospital. NEVER go to Springfield Memorial in Springfield, Il. The staff counts you as nothing more than a number and money. My husband broke his pelvis in three places. Three ribs and made hamburger out of his right arm. He was to be in a PODS device at all times. The nurse's never put it on him, so surgrey was neccessary. After this surgrey prviate parts were the size of a grapefruit. He was forced into a wheelchair to small for him, which mashed this area. Then left to sit in this for up to an hour and half. He,also, had to lay on bloody sheets from friday [when he was admitted] to tuesday morning, when he was taking to surgrey. Then nurse's would bring his meals to him and put them just out of reach. I complained about this and the nurse's started to REALLY treat him badly. It got to the point I had to stay at the hospital up to 14 or more hours a day. [we live 2 hours away from this place] My husband couldn't sleep at night because of the nurse's treatment of him. So he would sleep in the day while I was there. I wrote letters, talked to the doctors, and wrote e-mails. All saying 'we'll look into it' I got NOTHING! I even talked to five or six lawyers and as soon as they heard the Springfield Memorail, they'd say sorry, can't help. What I have put on here is only a SMALL part of everything that happened in that place.
