Southeast Missouri Hospital charged my husband for all kinds of testing that was not needed. Ringing the bill up to 1,500.00 plus dollars for a 2 hour stay.He went in with low blood pressure and was diagnosed 2 days later a the marion Va hospital with depression.Southeast Missouri ran ekg testing and all others sorts of heart testing,x-rays etc..... Now they are trying to get me to sell my soul to get this bill dismissed. They want my bank accounts, credit reports, real estate owned and cash on hand. They offered a 10% discount on a bill that should have never been this big to begin with.My husband requested to be taken to the VA hospital in the beginning and noone would listen to him until 2 days later. Now the va hospital won't pay the bill because there was a new bill passed in 2004 stating that if you haven't been seen by the va in 2 years they won't pay.So my husband had no insurance and the hospital new this.they started ringing the bill up.My husband was sitting in his room with blood running down his arm from the IV that they had in him. The nurses just kept walking around ignoring this.My husband had enough of being treated like a lab rat.He got up and walked out of the hosiptal.Lets not forget the $700.00 plus ambulance bill for an ambulance that didn't take to him the va hospital like he requested in the begining.
