having lots of problems at work. making it almost impossible to go each day. iwould like to know who to call that wont use my name.i work at a foundy sevice. we make sand molds that are the shipped to other factories to be poured with metals. ver4y hot dirty work. ive bee there almost 10 yrs so its not the work thats the problem.in the last year it has really gotten bad. the mashince that bake the sand cores temps run anywhere from 450 to 650.people have gotten burnt bad if the core touchs your skin, there is a woman out there now who was burnt on the arm 2 weeks ago[burn is 3in longx 1 in]they have yet to seng her to a dr.it is oozzing gunk and bleeding but all the superviser does is put a fresh bandaide on it everyday. air hoses are on the floor every where constantly being tripped over by workers. air hose nozzles are suppose to have a small hole drilled in to the side so the pressure is not to high, but most are not and the ones that are , are tapped up drop cords, fan cords all over the floors causing people to trip. single racks that we put cores on are left behind workers. if they dont realize it they back up and fall on them causing injuries to backs and legs. i have to many scars to count on my legs where the metal racks have cut me, spent 4 months going to chiropracter because i fell on one.boxes of core set on wooden palets sat be hind workers causing injuries. drinking being done on the job.the forktruck driver was so drunk he couldnt park his car staight was allowed to get on the forktruck and drive. he goes to fast for such a small plant, he has pinned people between racks before but accordung to him it was the workers fault because she knew he was behind her and she should have moved beer cans have been found stuffed in machine whiskey bottle found in side the plant beer cans in parking lot. had a jail work release there. he was so drunk whwen he got back to jail that he fell in the shower. when his work locker was opened it was full o whiskey bottles brought into him by the drunk fork truck driver. people being taken home or aked to leave for the day because they are to drunk to work.mind you they only go home after someone comlains about them otherwise they would work until they sobbered up. workers are smoking pot behind the machines everyone knows its being done but its ok because they are good workers and meet thier quota.out of 60/70 people only 10 could pass a drug test. oh and by the way its not just pot. welding is done out in the open less than 10 ft from wokers no curtain is usedbeads of metal raining down on workers when grinding to make the weld smooth. supervisor is making it a hostile work invironment.he yells at people in front of others its embarrasind and degrading.he asked one worker if she was an idiot.aked her if she wanted to be on the idiot list. supervisor has physicaly grabbed workers by the upper arm shoving them in his office bacause he didnt like what he had to say. nite supervisor goes out of his way to rub agaist female workers easier to walk around the rack but hell walk between the rack and the female. not all exhust fans work. on some days it looks like a haze thru out the plant making it hard to breath. safty glasses are worn on top of the head not eyes alot of people dont wear required ear plugs. 3 out of the 5 woman that worked there at the time had to have hysterectomies 2 wre cancer. one guy complained about the fumes from the icacure lempe that he rns now suffers unexplained black outs. one person who misses 4 days will get fired while one who misses 8 will get a warning.same with raises,someone who works thier butt off will get 25cent raise where someonewho dosent do crap will get 45 just because the supervisor likes them better. a dust test was done but on the day it was the company didnot use 2 of the high dust dips we use a black dip that contains graphit and an other thats called furcoat that creates a layer of orange dust 20 to 30 feet on everything i the surrounding area.hair face skin clothes its horrible. sorry to be so long but i dont know who to contact.
