Homeowners Insurance Refuse to Pay for Service Mas

I called the insurance company to report that water was in my basement. The man told me to call Service Master or Service Pro to come check out the problem now they are refusing to pay them. They determined that the water came in from outside and my insurance did not cover water coming in but because they told me to call Service Master I feel certain that they should pay them for their service.
