This has got to be the biggest scam out there! You pay these people good money to inspect a home you are thinking of buying, and all you get are a few notes and a few small suggestions. But after you move in you find that many things are not up to code and you are out of thousands of dollors that it will take to bring those areas up to code. I just found out that both my hot water tank and my furnace are safety and health hazards that will take a great deal to fix! I have a roof leaking that needs to be replaces, a ceiling joist that is rotted away and needs replaced, a sinking second story corner that sits on that joist.
