As an employee of The Home Depot, I have seen and experienced the almost total disregard and disrespect towards employees with management on the local level. Although I reside in Mass. I work in N.H. where the labor laws are less stringent. I have witnessed countless degradation of employees and an almost total regard for the safety. I've entered numerous reports of unsafe areas within the store.....I've been told by management not to enter multiple sequences of unsafe conditions since it makes the management look bad. It has gotten to the point where I feel it is time someone should 'drop a dime' on the specific store to OSHA. The current CEO of THD is more interested in company profits (granted, every company deserves profits) and more interested in the shareholders. The store I work at .....basically encourages theft by customers and allows the customer to actually perform such deeds. The CEO was once in charge of accounting at GE and almost ruined GE if not for the fact that Jack Welsh brought GE to a higher regard.
