High crime rate in Canton, Ms

I am a native mississippi that sometimes like family people do,visit their birth place every once in a while. I visited about a year ago, my home town called Canton, Mississippi only to bury a relative, not only a young man but a family man of two. I write to letter of complaint because I know that nothing is being done to confirm justice. My nephrew case is treated like any other young black male a number. The law officers, politicans, mayor, and any other elected officals need to seek serious assist with the high crime in that small, of what they call a town. Canton population is about 12, 000. Justice should be served for the murder of Jamal'Mel' Tillis that late afternoon, Thanksgiving eve of 2005. I feel that the elected officials are elected to serve the people as a whole. That means not just receive a paycheck but do their jobs. I ask for feedback on this sinless crime. Believe it or not people Mel is not the only young man who has lost to life sinless there will be more unless something is done. Help!!! E-Mail address is ltat23@yahoo.com
