My life is so far off track that I can't see a way back to normal. I can't find a job, I'm falling way behind in my child support, I owe the IRS thousands. WTF am I going to do?

Whatever happened to Obama's promise of jobs? It's worse now than when he got elected. He went on a spending spree to help out fat cat bankers and left the common man out in the cold. Anytime you call a Democrat out on it they use the same old thing of trying to blame it on Bush. He's been gone for over 3 years! It's the same thing Granholm did in Michigan. She went out after 8 years blaming the republican before her. Michigan is one of the leaders in unemployed workers. This stuff is going to get worse until people realize that politicians are not worried about them. They are already rich and all they worry about is saving their own jobs.

Thats always the same answer I get. People with jobs think it's as easy as going and applying. I'm not in the same spot as the OP but I have tried everything you suggested and more. The jobs just aren't there!

Have you tried turning to government run programs for assistance trying to get help finding a job? Have you explained to your ex and child that you have fallen on hard times and need their patience? Find a job, any job until you land the right one. There's no shame in working in a warehouse, fast food restaurant, stocking shelves, pumping gas, 7-Eleven clerk . . . anything! Work 2 jobs if you have to to get caught up. It will suck but probably less than your situation now and you wont look so much the deadbeat dad. I have a hard time believing that you can't find a job doing anything. When you're broke, there's no room for pride. Suck it up and do it.
