After being a top producing salesperson and member of Management for Healthyback, I gave two weeks notice after a year+. I gave two weeks notice as manager's should. We were all entitled to a benefit called frequent flyer miles program. I along with many others had a great deal of 'Miles' with which to purchased product, Airplane miles, Etc. They decided to put the redemption of these miles on hold in March 2006, while assuring the employees that they would still be accruing miles. Well, atleast 120K in sales later, in late June 2006, the redemption was still unavailable.(Because they were tweaking the program) I provided my notice in mid June 2006, offering two weeks and asking for my redemption of my accumulated and EARNED Miles! They bought my time out to have me gone, and refuse to pay me the Redemption that they wouldn't allow. I sent a request, I expect my earned benefit. They respond by telling me that when you resign, you forfeit your miles. How can you not forfeit your miles, when they won't allow you to use them? This is one of the ridiculous efforts that they use to try and retain their employees. I think it is a disgrace and certainly not legal. If someone asked you to work for 20 dollars an hour and then, when you want to get paid, they say that unless you continue to work for 15 dollars an hour, we will let you go and pay you at a rate of 10 dollars an hour for the work that you already completed. This is a frickin disgrace. Please don't shop at Healthyback. The points probably amounted to only 2,000 dollars in product, but that is product my family and I should be enjoying, not forfeiting.
