Hairdresser choices dilemna?

I do my hair by a friend who recently graduated from cosmetology school and is opening her own salon (It's small). I did a job interview for a receptionist/sales clerk job position yesterday for a salon. And they asked me if I'm hired will I stop going to my friend and I said "no"..then they said "it's conflict of interest"...and I was like work is work. I love the way my friend does my hair..so should I change hairdressers just because I'll work there? I think not..what do you think?

Just say you won't but still go to your friend. If they ask about it say you just do it yourself now.
