Hair Salon Frustration!

Can someone please tell me when it became acceptable for hair salons to stop short in completing your service at a salon (i.e coloring your hair, washing your hair and then charging you IF YOU WANT IT DRYED!?!?!) What the.....since when does drying your hair after paying up to $200.00 for a service cost you additional money!? You other 'option' is to leave with a WET HEAD! This is truly an outrage and would love to know how this is justified and if we as consumers have any recourse short of trying to find a salon that does not work this way (Lot's of luck there)!
