My grandparents have all the window blinds open letting the sun beam into the house. There is no reason to have lamps and ceiling lights on! I know what youre thinking, theyre old and cant see well. Fuck that. they sit maybe 5 ft from the window and have a lamp on nxt to them. Lights on in unoccupied rooms. TV on. AC blowing with 1 window open. all this on and happening and theyre sitting there reading. THEN say we use too much electricity... What!? Im not even home 12 hrs out of the day and even when I am home i'm on my phone or outside. We use too much electricity, my ass. If they weren't my grandparents id have some not so nice things to say.

Simple solution, talk to them about ways to save on electricity. Make it sound like concerned about the environment!
