God fucking dammit. That's the third employer who wants me do develop apps for a gazillion devices without actually supplying those devices. Fuck. Why are business people such fucking cheapskates? They drive big ass cars and sell apps, they can easily afford a device for their IT guys.

WTF are you talking about? How the fuck is that comment even relevant? I agree with the OP. How are you supposed to effectively develop and test an app for a product if you can't access said product. That's bad business strategy as it leads to crappy functioning and essentially pointless apps. DUH!!! They don't have to give you the product, but they should at least allow you access to it. Alternatively, by a suite of your own hardware and write it off as a tax expense

This is called business strategy. Every employers look that manufacturing cost of the products always be cheap, and the purchasing of raw material increase the manufacturing cost of products.
