GE.....uuughhh

we jsut moved in to a brand new home that has GE appliances, well the stove is GE JBP27BOK2BB. the cooktop gets extemely hot, called GE to have someone come out and fix it. a week later, the repairman calls but never comes out. not to mention he was very arogant! and he also told me the cooktop can get as hot as it wants to there are no temp regulations. seems to me it would be a safty issue. never in my life have i known a cooktop to reach that high of a temp. its going on 2 weeks now and still trying to get this issue taken care of. at this point and time i would have to say GE customer service skills suck! as well as there products.
