Frozen Busted Water Lines

Before My discovery Me probably like many other People 3 or 4 times a year I would make a trip to the hardware store to buy new connections and pipe to fix the Water lines that froze up and busted I used that PCV pipe but They tell Me Copper pipe Is no better about not freezing up but If It does It would be easy to thaw with a blow torch where that PCV would melt and catch on fire, but few years ago I bought some 5/8 Inch with ľ Inch connections black rubber Garden Water hose from Sears to run to My pressure washer to maybe even run hot Water through, I left the Water hose outside In the middle of the Winter, I turned the Water on outside but no Water came out of the hose so I picked the hose up that was laying on the ground and started bending the hose to break the Ice Inside the hose with In a few minutes I had running Water and the hose did not have any damage from being frozen, So replaced all the Water lines In My house with that Sears Garden Water hose. The next step was to find good connections where I live We have very high Water pressure I tried many different brands of Y Valves and connectors and many broke because of the high Water pressure I found Gilmour and Sunmate are among the best brands the Gilmour plastic Y Valves work good but all other Valves and connectors should be Brass You should use the best connectors to avoid any problems. The Sears black rubber Garden Water hose will fit right over the 5/8 Inch (or what ever size It Is) connections on a regular kitchen and lavatory and shower faucets and use 2 or more stainless Steel screw clamps You should use clamps that all It's parts are made of stainless Steel or It may rust and come loose.
