I worked at Ford Engine plant in Lima,Ohio for 37 1/2 years and always bought fords for I thought they were a good car. When I retired I bought a 1999 winstar and took it to the dealer and told them there was something wrong with the transmishionan was told that it was fine. I took it back three times and was told the same thing. After the warrenty run out i spent $1,700 having it fixed. I have a 1998 Town car that has 47,000 miles on it and was told that the ball joints are bad as there is no way to grease them. Also was told the motor in back window is bad and we don't use it. If this is the way Ford builds autos and won't fix under warenty it is no wonder they are going broke and people are buying the Jappenese autos. I will never buy another Ford Product and I have two Lincolns a 99 winstar and a 89 mecury and a conversion van.
