Finally...

In January 2011, I finally decided that I wanted to lose weight. I am a female. I am 5'0" and in January 2011, I weighed 170. I was obese. I started making small changes in the way I ate and did some walking a few times a week. In August 2011, I started going to the gym, doing cardio and strength training. For about a year and a half, I was at a plateau in terms of my weight. Then, I took a 2 month temp job (31 Mar to 31 May 2014) that was physically demanding. Over the course of 9 days we were having to hike close to 22 miles, which was over difficult terrain and with a lot humidity. You definitely needed to have some level of fitness to have been successful on this job. I loved doing the work and one benefit was the fact that I lost weight and got past the plateau. I went from being in the mid-140's to now weighing in the lower 130's. Now that the temp job has ended, I hope to continue to lose the last bit of the weight. I want to maintain as much muscle as possible while reducing my body fat percentage.
