Fight or Flight

I don't enjoy sex. I enjoy the idea of power. The truth is I wish puberty never happened. I hate adulthood. Not the responsibility, but the fact that there is a power stuggle of enlightenment vs. ignorance, pride vs. humility-- I tried to commit suicide when I was 19, but I have a family that stopped me. When puberty hit, I thought my world was crashing down around me, I had become my own worst enemy, I thought something was wrong with me; like I was coming down with a disease. So in my mind, I HAD TO GO. But everyone said: 'Oh, you'll be alright, you're going to do something great in your life, you're just soooo intelligent, you can do ANYTHING YOU WANT IF YOU SET YOUR MIND TO IT!!!' So I decided to take their word for it. Now I'm here 6 years later, starting to pursue an avenue to make my dreams come true, and what do those exact people say? 'What are you doing? That'll never work, you shouldn't be doing that. Where did you get that idea from? Who are you listening to?' YOU KNOW WHAT? screw 'em.
