Fat?

My family tells me I am fat. Grandpa, grandma, all three of my sisters, my mother, and even my aunts. My father is the only one who doesn't say it, but every time he sees me eat he just shakes his head. I have asked my friends if they thought I was fat, they say no. I asked my doctor if I was fat, SHE said no. I am 5'4" and 160lbs, maybe I could lose some weight, but I don't think I'm FAT, so why do they keep telling me I am?

Your BMI is 27.5 which is in the overweight category. Honestly, 5'4 and 160 doesn't sound fat, maybe just kinda chubby. My family thinks im fat too, and im 5'3 and 125 pounds. My dad does the EXACT same thing. He shakes his head at me when I eat. It just goes to show hoe judgemental people can be. If anything you can just start eating healthy so you can get a healthy BMI which is between 18.5 and 24.9. And for your height a healthy weight would be between 110-145.

I was told that all of my life by my mother and I never was. I didn't know the deep scars she left on me until I went into therapy. Now that I really listen to what she says and the way she thinks about weight, she has a problem and I just feel bad for her. When you can, talk to a professional and they can help you. I believe that you will find a way to love yourself in a healthy light.

Thats what happens when society puts labels on everyone. Sorry that people call you fat.
