Fannin Lincoln Mercury Toyota

I'll start off with never buy a car at Fannin Lincoln Mercury Toyota dealership in Ashland Kentucky. My husband and I bought a 2005 Toyota Tacoma from this dealership in September 2005 and it's been nothing but problems since. First of all when I went to do the application I was told I would be called the same day to let me know whether we were financed or not. I never got a phone call. I had to continue calling them. We didn't know we got the truck until 3 days later. We did paper work in September to finance the vehicle...guess what..we never got our first payment in the mail. I called the finance manager (which I may add that she has been incarserated due to laudering money between November and December of 2005 from the company), she says that the paperwork was lost and we would have to come back in to redo it. She didn't call us to come back in to fill out the paperwork until the middle of December. We went in about April of 2006 to trade in the truck because we found out that we were having another baby. I found a Ford Escape that I liked. I filled out the paperwork and I heard, 'We will get back to you asap.' I called for a week straight because they never called me (same finance manager) and then I heard, 'we can't help you out this time.' Sounds like a wonderful business doesn't it? We went to Boyd County Ford in Ashland Kentucky at the beginning of September 2006 to trade in both our truck and car for a 2006 Ford Explorer, which I may add is wonderful and so is the dealership. We spoke with the owner and he paid off both of our vehicles and we were financed at 0% APR. We drove the Explorer home the same day unlike Fannin's. The worst is yet to come. We were told to cancel our GAP insurance through Fannin's because we paid 495.00 for it and we never used it and we should get a refund. Boyd County Ford which is where we bought our car from had the check in our hands in 4-5 days for that GAP insurance. It's a different story on the truck, though. I had to speak with another finance manager and then we had to fill out a form and fax it back to him..in which he told us we had to pay 40.00 to cancel it and he would fax it to the company right away. He also told us we would recieve the check by mail within 6-8 weeks. It's been eight weeks and I've been trying to get in touch with the finance manager for weeks...he never answers his phone and he never returns phones call if I left a message. I decided to take matters into my own hands and I called the company that we purchased the GAP insurance through to check the status. With the sound of shock in my voice I was told the policy was still active and had never been cancelled and I would have to go back through the dealership to get this taken of to my horror. That company cannot process the cancellations any faster so now we have to wait another 6-8 weeks to get our money back! I called the dealership immediatley and complained, which I had never done before. I should have. I called my husband and told him and now he is going to call the owner. I wonderful if we will ever see that money?
