family disputes

Falling out with my son has caused me such pain. Two years ago I had aterrible arguement with my son, because he said I had upset his wife. His opening words were, 'my wife doesn't take orders from anyone, least of all from you.' all I had said to her was 'tell your mom to give me a ring.' He also accused me of overworking his father, who was fulfilling his life's ambition of building a bungalow and swimming pool. In a fit of pique I sent back all the photos I had of my son and his wife. We now only see them and the grandchildren occasionally. Our other two sons and their wives and children are close to us. Everyone tells me to move on, but I can't cope with the pain. I confess that I was to blame but I will not accept all the blame.
