false accusal of theft

my son was falsely accused of theft of petrol by the Security Manage of a large very well nown retailer, (name of retailer cannot yet be given as I am taking legal action against them). consuquently he was arrested and held in custody overnight. My son was bailed for 3 months for the police to obtain evedance. None was found. The retailer claims no resposible for the actions the police took when their manager called my son a theif.
