everyone has watched cops on tv?, well here is something I just dont get....it used to be that the police were not allowed to break the law in order to arrest someone, for example, they could not sell you dope, and then arrest you for buying it....now, the next thing I noticed, this was not the case anymore, and right on tv they are entraping people. OK, well times change i guess, but the next thing i noted was that the police were taking people's property from them at the time of arrest. This, they said was because of drug involvement, the cars, houses, etc were presumabley bought with drug money, therefore, they could confiscate them and use the proceeds to stop drugs in our neighborhoods. OK, makes sense I guess, although who knows where the money really came from but tough luck if ur going to sell drugs. well, the next thing I hear is that the police are confiscating cars from drivers if they are under the influence. now this is a little different, not having purchased said car with drug money, but under the influence is still drug related and bam, car's not yours anymore. Now the next thing I hear is they are taking away vehicles from those who are getting stopped for soliciting charges, and this was on the local news, it was a sting operation in which lady cops were posing as hookers, and bam, the john goes to jail, and guess what, bam, his car is now theirs. now this definatly is entrapement, and not only that, but it seems to me that someone, somewhere is collecting a whole hell of a lot of taxpayers autos, whether or not they tried to get a hooker or not, what has that got to do with them losing their car? what is next? those people who get arrested for lets say assault, or perhaps parking tickets?
