Even Nrwegg is going downhill

When ordering a new DVD burner, a few days ago, a popup informed me of a complimentary gift for the purchase of the DVD. I scrolled down and sure enough top of the list was a cd wallet 'free' if I added it to the order. I did so and after the shipping charges for other items and the wallet were added I was chaged 15$ for the wallet and given a 10$ credit. I asked the online help why is 'free' a 5$ charge? I was told 'It's only 5$' Again I see even Newegg has problems today. Dvd burner was not ordered and 'Free' cd wallet was not either.
