I phoned DPL Electrical Services of Ipswich to ask their charges for a domestic electrical repair. I was quoted their rate for the first hour and then for subsequent hours, no mention was made of travelling charges although they knew my address. I used their service based on those prices and later received the bill. The bill included a charge for the travelling time to the job and a charge per mile. In hindsight I checked several other electrical contractors and found out DPL was the only company to charge for travelling time and mileage.
