Elaboration

This is an elaboration on my discussion with Active. I brought my boyfriend in to read the conversation and then my boyfriend started to speak on his own behalf. He violently agreed with Active about the fact that the other countries don't follow the Geneva Convention and have been torturing ours. It is true, but America is supposed to have moral authority. He voiced an opinion that included untying the soldier's hands and letting them do whatever is necessary to win the war. He even did a little improv where he pretended to hold a weapon and wait for the militants to shoot at him three times before he could shoot back in accordance with an thought up example of the moral rules the army follows. My boyfriend is a military academy graduate, and all of his friends are soldiers. He also expressed concern for the fighting men. He said he would hate it if the side I am on, wishing to fight against the government lost their fight and all the soldiers who think they are fighting for freedom come back after the Bush Administration and the Administration that comes after him have grown too big and corrupted that the soldiers return to a place where their freedoms are restricted. Where their phones are tapped and Christian ideals are law, sciences are suppressed and people who aren't fundamentalists will possibly be contained as a threat to national security. Where capitalists govern our reproduction and our school system, like they already control much of the government, and keep new soldiers in war to fatten their own capitalist pockets. I really hate the world right now.
