I keep hearing what the people who runnig for government positions will do fo seniors, taxes, the Florida Fcat, and the No child left behind Law. In all that is being advetized, they never talk about what they would do to help disabled people acheive a higher standard of living or of education. In my opinion they do not understand that the disabled community is huge. When we want to be heard their ears turn off they don't think that we will vote or do the 'Normal' activities. When a child has Cerebral PALSY,and is qualified for mainstream classes the teacher has no clue on what to do. The students gets into trouble because the teach confuses spastic reaction with yelling or trying to hit you. The student then writes to The florida Department of Of education. they tell her 'we are sorry for your school experiences but we have no jurisdiction in this matter.'
