Doctor's Answering Service

I was in agony with lesions in my mouth, very bad canker sores. I called the doctor's emergency service, hoping someone could call in a 24 hour pharmacy where I could get special numbing medications (I still saved the bottles). Instead, the operator at the doctor's service said: THIS IS FOR EMERGENCIES ONLY. GET AN OVER THE COUNTER REMEDY. After that, the doctor's staff began acting oddly towards me. Everything ended in some kind of argument where he terminated by coming there, which was fine with me. I filed a complaint with the Board of Health, but after 4 months they wrote back and said it 'wasn't their area' to deal with. I tried to get through to the doctor but he is shielded by his staff. I spoke to the administrator in the office and she screamed at me, saying I called one of their staff a 'stupid ass'. I was treated very badly by the doctor's secretary and the rest of them at the desk. I have no clue what was wrong and a letter, restricted delivery, sat in the post office in West Nyack for 6 weeks before it was returned to me, unanswered. I have been trying to find out the name of the answering service so I can speak to the supervisor. They get very nasty when I call. Has anyone ever heard of people acting like this. The doctor's office is Dr. Parag Shah, Rockland Pulmonary Associates, 2 Crosfields, West Nyack, NY. This happened in early January of 2006. I cannot find anyone to listen to, or address what happened. I couldn't eat, I couldn't swallow and I was in agony with huge lesions. No lawyer will listen, and the Bar Association won't even refer me.
