divorce rip-off

i've been desperatly in need of a divorce but haven't been able to afford an expensive attorney for the same thing that a paralegal would do alot cheaper. i found an add from washington paralegal in the nickle exchange for $75.00 so i made an appointment. he's also in the yellow pages so in thought he was a legitamate business. i paid him and gave my information on aug 23rd, 2006 and was told it would be ready to be picked up by the 25th. today's date is sept. 9, 2006. i have tried to call his office several times and left messages, now the answering machine has been turned off. nobody ever seems to be in at the office when i've gone in to check. i know that $75.00 isn't alot but it's money i didn't have to just give away to some con man.
